Welcome to Our World!

Ladies:

Congratulations on taking your first step towards making all of your fitness dreams a reality. Unfortunately, it will be the easiest step you take on your journey. I will not lie to you; CrossFit can be brutal. You will continually meet and challenge your limitations. You will be asked to master exercises such as push-ups, pull-ups, and Olympic lifts that were once reserved only for men. You will work with an intensity that is impossible to reach at your average gym and you will shock yourself with how strong you actually can be.

Like you, many of our current clients were scared to try CrossFit. They browsed the website and saw videos that intimidated them. They would wait weeks or months to finally try a class only to be hooked instantaneously. The results that you will see in a short period of time are unparalleled in the fitness world. The only regret you will have is waiting so long to give it a try.
At CrossFit King of Prussia, approximately half of our clients are female. They range from experienced athletes to those just trying to lose a couple of pounds. The beauty of CrossFit is that every exercise is scaleable to your fitness level. You will NEVER be asked to do something that will jeopardize your safety. You will, however, be asked to use every muscle in your body to perfect your form, ultimately leading to a rewarding workout.

CrossFit is intimidating and you will encounter some frustrations along the way. CrossFit does however, provide an incredible support system and your classmates will be there to support you while pushing at the same time. In time, you will begin to do things that you once believed impossible and you will feel incredibly empowered and thankful. For the first time since you began working out you will feel that you have actually accomplished something. You WILL see results as long as you never give up.

Let me assure you that CrossFit is NOT:

A bodybuilding program focused on gaining muscle mass
An aerobics program focused on low-intensity limited range of motion activities with a techno music track
Too hard for you to try - everything is scalable B
ORING!

At CrossFit King of Prussia, you will participate in exercises that you would never have a chance to experience elsewhere and you will be amazed at the results you will see in a short period of time. Gentlemen:

CrossFit is NOT a cardio-based “bootcamp” workout. We will NEVER perform countless reps with a brightly colored plastic dumbbell. We will NEVER perform the same boring workout with a horrible techno track blasting in the background. We WILL, however, challenge your body and mind and help you achieve levels of fitness once reserved for professional athletes.

There is no hiding the fact that CrossFit is brutal. You will be asked to push your body to limits you did not think possible. You will push and pull heavy weights, run, row, climb, and jump at a very high level of intensity. Quite frankly, it does not matter what shape you “think” you are in, this program will humble you … very quickly … and without prejudice … period. However, you will love it because you will have never worked this hard and you will have never seen results like this before. The competition and camaraderie that CrossFit fosters can simply not be achieved in your typical gym by running on a treadmill and doing bicep curls.
CrossFit is the “Sport of Fitness” and as such you will be required to focus on the dynamic elements of athleticism, including balance, coordination, speed, power, endurance, and accuracy. This is the strength and conditioning program of choice for Mixed Martial Arts, S.W.A.T., Navy Seals, Police and Fire units, and elite sports worldwide.

I encourage you to watch some of the videos on our site and the main page. The men and women in these videos may intimidate you and you may think that you could never perform at such a level. This was once the belief of many of our members who have since watched themselves transform into someone who is capable of anything. In time, you will no longer be intimidated by the people in the videos, but rather you will strive to actually beat them.

Seniors:

Do you feel yourself slowing down? Are you upset that you can no longer do the things you used to be able to do? Do you wish you could pick up the groceries or your grandchildren without worry? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then CrossFit is the answer.

Many seniors may look on the website and immediately think that CrossFit is for people more than half of their age. It is easy to become discouraged when watching the videos, knowing that you may never perform like that again. However, the beauty of CrossFit is that every exercise is scalable to your fitness level…instead of deadlifting 400 pounds, you may be asked to squat down and pick up a 10 pound bag of potatoes. You will NEVER be asked to do something that will jeopardize your safety. Instead, you will be asked to use different muscles in your body to perfect your form and build your strength and fitness, ultimately leading to a rewarding workout and a healthier lifestyle.

Parents…are you looking to get your kids active and out from behind the computer or video games? If you answered yes to either one, then CrossFit is the answer. Kids, you may think that you are in great shape and that you should just continue playing Wii fit, jogging, and doing countless reps of bicep curls, leg presses, and bench presses. Simply take one CrossFit class and after you peel yourself off the ground after 30 minutes of working out, you will realize just how far you have to go.
